Jackie Ford is 50th Anniversary Chair, Professor of Leadership and Organization Studies at Bradford University School of Management with former Professorial roles since 2008 at the Universities of Leeds and Bradford. With a decade of experience in managerial leadership roles – including senior level positions in the UK National Health Service – plus over 23 years in higher education, her role at the School of Management involves her in research, teaching, executive education and consultancy across both private and public sectors. Her scholarly interests include the study of working lives, notably in exploring critical approaches to leadership; gender, diversity and inclusion; ethics; management and organization studies. She has co-authored a monograph entitled Leadership as Identity: Constructions and Deconstructions (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008); co-edited Making Public Services Management Critical (Routledge, 2010) co-edited a textbook entitled Leadership: Contemporary critical perspectives (Sage, 2015); and has published in a range of journals including British Journal of Management, Human Relations, Journal of Management Studies, Leadership, Management Learning, Organization, Sociology, Work Employment and Society.
